As stated in the Cadet Hand Book, the mission of the AFJROTC program is to "build better citizens for America." Its objectives are to educate and train our students in citizenship; promote community service; install responsibility, character, and self discipline; and provide instruction in air and space fundamentals.
The AFJROTC curriculum includes a combination of Aerospace Science and Leadership Education. The core text of the program is Aerospace Science that focuses on aerospace history, aerospace enviornment (science of flight), and space exploration. Leadership Education is the part of the curriculum that develops leadership skills to include discipline, responsibility, leadership, and citizenship.
Klein Oak's AFJROTC program is led by (SASI) Colonel I. J. LeBlanc, United
States Air Force (Ret), and the Aerospace Science Instructor (ASI) is Master
Sergeant J. D. Barcroft, United States Air Force (Ret).
